Apricot Slice

3.8.13

I believe this is originally a Nestle recipe (you know recipe suggestions they put on the back of their products?) and it's pretty yummy indeed, and a great way to use up any old, wrinkly or extra dry dried apricots if you don't fancy eating them plain. Yummo!

You'll need:
- 250g (one packet) of crushed milk arrowroot biscuits
- 1 cup chopped dried apricots
- 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut
- 395g can sweetened condensed milk
- 125 grams chopped butter
- 185g (1 1/4 cups) of chocolate (I went with milk)

No oven required!

First, mix up the biscuits, apricots and the coconut.

Then melt the butter and condensed milk together over a low/med heat on the stove.

Then combine the condensed milk mixture in with the dry ingredients.

And press into a greased and lined slice pan. (28cm x 18cm or so)

Melt your chocolate....

And pour over the top of your slice! Then you can leave it to set in the fridge and cut it into squares.

There you go! Yummy scrummy apricot slice. :)
